1. Introduction
Statster ("we", "our", or "us") is a social sports tracking application that lets you log matches, track statistics, and connect with other players. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Statster mobile application (the "App").
By using Statster, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information:
Name and username
Email address (used for authentication)
City and country
Profile bio
Profile photo
Match & Activity Data:
Match results (sport, score, outcome, date)
Opponent information
Match photos and captions
Ratings and statistics derived from your matches
Social Data:
Follow relationships (who you follow and who follows you)
Likes and comments on matches
Device Information:
Device token for push notifications (only if you grant permission)
Device type and operating system version
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Create and maintain your account
Display your profile, statistics, and match history
Show your activity to your followers in their feed
Calculate ratings, rankings, and leaderboards
Send push notifications about new followers, match confirmations, likes, and comments
Enable match confirmation between players
Improve and maintain the App
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security built on PostgreSQL. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with industry-standard security practices.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Your data may be shared in the following limited circumstances:
Other users: Your profile, match results, and activity are visible to other Statster users based on your social connections. Your username, name, country, and stats are visible on leaderboards.
Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for delivering notifications. These providers only process data as needed to provide their services.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
Access your data: View your profile, matches, and statistics at any time within the App.
Update your information: Edit your profile details, including name, username, bio, city, country, and photo.
Control notifications: Enable or disable push notifications through your device settings.
Delete your account: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, your matches, likes, comments, follow relationships, and profile information will be permanently removed.
Dispute matches: Reject match submissions within 24 hours, which removes the match and all associated data.
7. Push Notifications
If you opt in, we send push notifications for:
New followers
Match confirmation requests
Likes and comments on your matches
You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app. Your device token is stored securely and used solely for delivering notifications.
8. Children's Privacy
Statster is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.
10. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by other appropriate means. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
